To Change the Admin Password

Encrypting the admin password is strongly encouraged. 

To change the admin password using the Admin Console, follow this procedure.

1. Expand the Configurations node.
2. Select the instance to configure:
   • To configure a particular instance, expand the instance’s config node. For example, the default instance, server, expand the server-config node.
   • To configure the default settings for all instances, expand the default-config node.
3. Expand the Security node.
4. Expand the Realms node.
5. Select the admin-realm node.
6. Click the Manage Users button from the Edit Realm page.
7. Select the user named admin.
8. Enter the new password and confirm the password.
9. Click Save.
